Facial Sweating
While it is completely normal to (also) sweat on your face - there is a condition that is called excessive facial sweating, or facial hyperhidrosis. People with facial hyperhidrosis also often suffer from blushing.
For most people, facial hyperhidrosis appears in early adolescence. And it can be an extremely embarrassing situation. Unless you are James Brown performing on stage like a madman, there is no way you wouldn't be embarrassed by excessive facial sweating.
It is estimated that about 3% of the population is suffering from mild to severe facial sweating. I know this statistic alone might not make it better for you, but at least you know that you are not the only one who has this problem. A statistic that should be even more promising to you is this: over 11000 people in the US have cured their facial hyperhidrosis - DESPITE most doctors still telling patients that there is nothing that can be done about it.
You are probably some little things in your everyday life that cause your facial sweating to be worse than it would have to be. Most people never know about this and think that "genetics" is the only explanation for their head sweating problem. But the truth of the matter is: MANY people have the genes that are believed to be responsible for excessive facial sweating. Yet, only some of these people ever have to deal with this problem.
I also want to make one thing very clear right from the beginning: I am NOT talking about ETS surgery (or any other kind of surgery). You see, the problem with ETS surgery is that it is a really risky, serious and major surgery. You will be completely anesthetized, a surgeon will insert a device into your armpit, collapse one side of your lung, destroy the nerve paths from the spinal cord that lead to the sweat glands of your face, pump your lung up again, and stitch you closed. There is recovery time with that procedure, and it is by no means a low-risk operation. Also, studies have shown that about 80%-90% of the people who undergo ETS surgery afterwards suffer from compensatory sweating that is just as bad, and in some cases even worse than the excessive facial sweating they actually did the surgery for in the first place. (In case you don't know what compensatory sweating is: it means that another part of your body will sweat excessively, most commonly your back, chest, groins, buttocks or legs).
This condition is embarrassing enough for men... but if you are a woman, it's even worse, because wearing make-up can become next to impossible.
One thing that improved facial sweating for many is using witch hazel extract. Witch hazel is kind of a natural antiperspirant for your face, and you can get it in many health food stores. Just put a thin layer of it on your skin, and you will notice how good it is for your skin, not just to stop excessive sweating.
Another natural remedy for facial sweating is aloe vera juice - which is kind of "watered down aloe vera gel". This is rather a quick fix than a real solution. You will have to apply it on your face and it will prevent excessive face sweating for about 2 hours. So if you have a date coming up or something like this, then this is what you want to try, specially in the hot summer months.
